Mark Twain wrote: Adam was but human-this explains it all. He did not want the apple for the apple's sake, he wanted it only because it was forbidden. The mistake was in not forbidding the serpent; then he would have eaten the serpent.

The Eastern Seaboard and the Gulf Coast States of the United States have been decimated in a germ warfare attack. Air Force One is down, infrastructure has failed, and enemies of the United States want the President, dead or alive. Ella Strong and a group of survivors are thrust into a chaotic world of compromised infrastructure and unimaginable complications. They will have to fight traitorous villains, even those who have sworn their allegiance to protect the President. They will have to stand their ground to survive. But do they?
This is another unfinished story. It doesn't end in a cliffhanger, exactly, but it's obvious there's more to the story. It's typical post-apocalyptic suspense, some parts more believable than others. The characters are fairly well developed, but rather flat.
Becket Royce delivers an outstanding performance. I hope to have the opportunity to review future books in this series.
NOTE: I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
