Book Review

The Judge
by Steve Martini

Series:
#4 in Paul Madriani

Category:  Legal Thriller

Average Rating:  4.0

When Judge Armando Acosta is charged with soliciting a prostitute, attorney Paul Madriani is less than sympathetic. Nevertheless, Madriani is forced to defend his old nemesis.

And when the policewoman who snared Acosta is brutally murdered, Madriani wonders if the judge is also the executioner.

Although this is very suspenseful with twists and surprises a-plenty, this book isn't quite as good as the previous novels in this series. Some of the situations are just a little too contrived.

The only version of this book available to me was the commercial version read by George Guidall. He sounds a bit too old for the characters. Otherwise, his performance was adequate.
